Quality home remodeling done differently?

Updated: May 14

The four unique ways we approach home remodeling.

A line of four wooden block houses, three blurred, and one clear.

My first response to the question, what do we do differently, was to cringe.

But I realized that's because I thought it meant I needed to brag.

In thinking further, I realized that each business is unique because of the people who make it up.

While there are generalities to home remodeling, Nathan and I have unique personalities and strong values.

Here's how we approach home remodeling.

We are built on four pillars.

1. Enjoyment of Building

Nathan has twenty-plus years of building experience and has always enjoyed working with his hands. Good enough is not his jam, but rather how to build the most efficiently and properly. He's worked in the homes of professional athletes as well as completed handyman repairs for lower-income families. We learned that remodeling for families who desired to update their homes for their family's comfort and health was right for us.

I grew up in home building, and I don't know how many homes I have walked through. My first job was cleaning new construction homes, and I loved the anticipation I felt before opening the door and seeing the homeowner's choices. I have always been drawn to layouts and the foundational elements, like cabinetry and flooring, that make up a home's canvas. Pulling together beautiful combinations is one of my favorite things.

2. Communication

We are question-askers and knowledge-seekers. We enjoy continuing to learn and grow as individuals and in our business and building practices. For this reason, we treat our clientele with the same respect for information. It is your home, and we want you to have the information to make the best decisions for your family. So, we make sure we keep you informed at every step.

3. Honesty

We live in a home, too.

That means that we have needs and opportunities for hiring as well. The significance of a stranger crossing your door's threshold into your home is not to be taken lightly, and we don't. So, this is why we follow codes, do as much research and analysis as possible from the beginning, and place all of our findings in our reports with itemized costs. Transparency.

4. Relation

On paper, a business and homeowner can seem like a great fit. But because each has their personalities, meeting and talking is crucial. If a homeowner and builder are uncomfortable in a business relationship, it can make for an unnecessarily bleak experience. We highly value this pillar and don't have hard feelings if we're just not right for you or vice versa.

Lastly ...

We work hard for our clients and want everyone to have a respectful and positive experience. We enjoy humor but always take building practices seriously.

Nathan and I met in college while working on our music degrees, which was used for a time, but we never put down home construction. We apply the same work ethic and fine-tuning to our building practices that over a decade in the practice room taught.

If you're thinking of remodeling your home, give me a call or send an email. I'd love to chat about your plans!

Cheering you on!
