White Modern Kitchen Remodel | Spokane Valley, WA
This was a kitchen remodel and home painting refresh in Spokane, Washington. Our clients already had a great kitchen footprint and were ready to update from their early 2000s design. A kitchen remodel was completed using Huntwood cabinetry in Antique White and Sherwin-Williams Moody Blue for the island, matte black hardware, under cabinet lighting, Calacatta Trevi Quartz countertops, light gray subway tile backsplash, white apron sink, matte black faucet, brand new appliances, and Sherwin-Williams Light French Gray walls. Their beautiful wood floors were left untouched because they were in excellent condition and worked beautifully with their design. In addition to the kitchen, the main living spaces were also painted, and a new chandelier was hung in the dining room. *Click the photos to expand*
Modern Gray Kitchen Remodel | Newman Lake, WA
[This kitchen was part of a home remodel.] The homeowners wanted to update their kitchen and rearrange their layout to bring a more open concept to their home. The cabinetry and appliances were removed, and the flooring was taken down to the subfloor. The door opening, which happened to be a load-bearing wall, was widened from 2.5 feet to 6 feet, and a large header was installed to better incorporate the adjoining living room. A coffee bar with floating shelving and a beverage fridge was built into the adjoining living room near the newly widened opening to give the homeowners the natural flow they were after. Back in the kitchen, the new layout was prepared with plumbing, electrical, and carpentry. A new island would now hold the sink and dishwasher, the fridge would be in the range’s old location, the range would be where the dishwasher previously existed, a small header for the microwave hood venting was installed, custom shelving brackets installed, and finally the wall’s drywall was repaired and given a fresh coat of paint along with the ceiling. Next, new Huntwood cabinets were installed, with the upper cabinets getting a two-piece crown molding. Quartz countertops were templated and installed approximately one week later. During the week’s wait, laminate plank flooring was laid throughout the home, black cabinet handles were installed, can and surface lighting was installed, the trim was painted and installed, and a custom frosted glass pantry door was hung. After the countertops were installed, the sink with a black pulldown faucet was installed in the island, and the dishwasher, range, and fridge were installed and tested for leaks. The backsplash was cut and installed in a herringbone pattern in the kitchen and a subway pattern at the coffee bar. Lastly, the home was cleaned up. This portion of the home remodel took between 3-4 weeks to complete. *Click the photos to expand*

Classic White Kitchen Remodel | Spokane Valley, WA
This kitchen remodel was for a client we had already partnered with to remodel their main bathroom. So, we knew their home’s history, and since their bathroom remodel had revealed improper, unpermitted, and unsafe work, we were prepared to uncover the same in their kitchen. We decided to remove everything in the kitchen down to the studs and subfloor so their new kitchen would begin with a clean slate. And our collective suspicions were correct as we found more of the same within the kitchen’s walls. We next removed an unnecessary exterior door and framed the opening to allow for more cabinetry and counter space. One of the discoveries we made was that a pass-through had been created in one of the load-bearing walls by cutting the studs without installing a header. This caused the floor joists above to drop ½”. So, the joists were jacked back into place, and a proper load-bearing header was installed to carry the load across the pass-through. Next, the electrical had to be updated to meet the code requirements for the new layout, as well as fix some illegal wiring we had found hidden inside the walls. At this point, there was a five-day wait for the electrical inspection, so attention was given to the flooring. Some of the subflooring was replaced, then the whole floor was sanded while attached to a shopvac, swept clean, and wiped with a priming solution to remove any dust that was left. A ½” cement board was installed in a combed mortar bed to prepare for laying tile later on. The other small tasks that were completed during the waiting time were finishing the siding on the exterior of the home where the door had been removed, bringing the insulation up to code, stocking the drywall in the home, and making sure the work site was in order. Once the electrical inspection was passed, the drywall was installed and finished to a level five smoothness. The Huntwood cabinets were installed, and the countertops were templated for the quartz. While waiting for the quartz countertops, the walls and ceiling were painted, large format tile was installed on the floor, lighting and electrical fixtures were installed, and new trim was installed and painted. After a week, the countertops were installed, followed by a light gray subway tile backsplash. Lastly, the sink, faucet, and appliances were installed, and the kitchen was cleaned. This kitchen took four weeks to complete. *Click the photos to expand*

Traditional Kitchen Remodel | Kellogg, ID
The homeowner wanted to update their 1920s kitchen. The original cabinetry showed years of use and multiple layers of paint, and this home required lead testing and remediation. The cabinetry lead test results were positive for lead, and there was a likelihood that the original floor tiles contained asbestos. So, the proper remediation process was followed in the demo of the cabinetry, and instead of remediation, the homeowner chose to leave the floor undisturbed and cover it with new sheet vinyl flooring instead. The homeowner chose shaker-style Huntwood cabinetry in antique white for the uppers and a dark stain for the lowers, which matched some of the furniture in their home. After the cabinets were installed, the countertops were templated for quartz. While waiting for the countertops, antique crystal cabinet pulls were installed to match the style of the home, and the walls were painted. The white with tan veining quartz countertops were installed, followed by the white farmhouse sink, oil-rubbed bronze faucet, and dishwasher so they could be checked for leaks. Next, the white subway tile with brown grout was installed along the backsplash. Finally, the range and fridge were re-installed, and the room was cleaned. This kitchen took 2 weeks to complete. *Click the photos to expand*

White Country Kitchen Remodel | Hayden, ID
Our clients wanted to remodel their kitchen and had recently updated their appliances, with the exception of the range, since they were changing from electric to gas. For their kitchen remodel, they chose antique white, shaker-style Huntwood cabinets with soft close doors and drawers, matte black hardware, butcher block countertops, a white farmhouse sink, a white subway tile backsplash, and a slightly larger layout. Protective material was placed across the flooring so it could be kept, then their appliances were removed, and the room was demoed. A wall was moved to allow for an added pantry cabinet, and then the cabinetry was installed and topped with crown molding. Next, the farmhouse sink was installed, followed by the butcher block countertops, which were treated with oil and wax. A clean and simple white subway tile backsplash with white grout was laid, their matte black cabinetry hardware was installed, and all of the outlets and switches were updated. We then repaired the floor and ceiling where the wall had been moved, ran a gas line for the range from the utility room beneath the kitchen, and lastly, installed the new gas range and reinstalled their appliances. This kitchen took about six days. *Click the photos to expand*
